Rise and Shine
Overview
This summer, students will independently engage literature, music, recipes, and experiments that invite them to discover who they are in the world and empower them to find joy in their unique path. As we seek to understand a text, song, or recipe, how do we see ourselves in the stories of others? And how might our journey, our success, shed light on the world?
After spending time with the below texts, music, and recipes, students should be prepared to share their discoveries during student orientation in August. While no formal work needs to be completed over the summer, students will be asked to contribute to a group discussion and activity during their first week on campus.

Levántate y Brilla
Descripción General
Este verano, los estudiantes participarán de forma independiente en literatura, música, recetas y experimentos que los inviten a descubrir quiénes son en el mundo y los capaciten para encontrar alegría en su camino individual. Mientras buscamos entender un texto, una canción o una receta, ¿cómo nos vemos en las historias de los demás? ¿Y cómo podría nuestro viaje, nuestro éxito, traer luz sobre el mundo?
Después de pasar tiempo con los siguientes textos, música y recetas, los estudiantes deben estar preparados para compartir sus descubrimientos durante la orientación estudiantil en Agosto. Si bien no es necesario completar ningún trabajo formal durante el verano, se les pedirá a los estudiantes que contribuyan a una discusión y actividad grupal durante su primera semana en el campus.
